Wolfheze Station in 1946 (Collection Ph. Reinders)
They took off from Keevil, had a good flight and landing and after unloading which took some time, he and his Pilot jump aboard the trailer and made their way to their Rendez Vous at Wolfheze Station. He ended up on the Mental Hospital grounds, as the people found out he could speak German. It is stated in the Ministory that he could understand Dutch as he was German, but thats not what you read in the book. "Soon the blokes found out that I could talk to the civilians and I was dragged from one group of nurses and paratroopers to another, translating". More likely the Dutch could speak and understand German. In the evening the make their way towards Oosterbeek along with A Company, 156 Parachute Battalion, and spent the night along the railwayline.
